Crepes

We celebrated Bailey's debut in Les Miserables  this evening with a homemade Crepe dinner, (tres francais.)  It is his first high school production.

Next month, we hope to be celebrating the debut of our youngest daughter!  Perhaps with a traditional Chinese meal.  We are anxiously awaiting our travel date. We know it is just around the corner!

Article 5

Such a simple phrase that means so much.

Article 5 is the official review by the US consulate in china of our daughters eligibility to receive her visa and travel with us.

To the HILL family it means, we are 5 now, and 6 in about 2 weeks when we get “TA”.

TA is travel approval or TOTALLY AWESOME as the Hill family has come to know it.  

We then book some flights, and a little bird sitting in china will find her nest, with us.

God is incredibly GOOD.

Preparations

I came home last night to a wonderful package in the mail box.

2 little shirts, one for big sister and one for little sister.

Lily was in heaven looking at them.

To accessorize the outfit, this morning she found two little toys.  She is the tigress she noted and “baby sista” is the panda.  I was advised that “we cannot forget these when we go to China!”

Preparations are a blessing in the world of waiting.  This child will never know the anticipation that went into this time.  I pray her heart is being prepared for us through the Holy Spirit.  I have been blessed to see such a devoted sister and brothers, who pray daily for her comfort and for her joy.

A little bit about before and after...

BEFORE

Before, a well loved, well used white maple kitchen that belonged to me as a wee girl, and then to Lily…

AFTER

And now, with some love from her dad, our newest little girl will enjoy a pastel kitchen with some accessory items purchased by her Grandma Lily.  I found the blender and mixer still in their box in some of Mother’s things.  A little heaven sent…

 I am amazed at the detailed goodness of God.

This photo was our little treasure found on a charity site from the Henan Province.  We glanced at this photo and knew there was something profoundly special.   Standing there, in the far right corner. some little chubby cheeks drew us in... our daughter.

News....

I can't wait until Cathy posts this news, so here it is... We received a letter from the Department of Homeland Security advising us they have provisionally approved our little bird as our adoptive daughter.   This is very exciting news... it acknowledges our paperwork is in order!   This is a major relief for me, in part because I was in charge of compiling and submitting the information to our agency, to China and to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.


So what does this mean?  Looks Like I did it correctly!  You can follow our timeline listed to the left of this column.
